Avant Garden​

Dish & Decor Vintage Rental was thrilled to be a creative part of Wedding International Professionals Association-Chicago (WIPA) Avant Garden event in May hosted at Chicago Illuminating Company. The featured speaker, Kristi Drago-Price of Editor's Edge, presented "Blue Print to a Standout Brand." My collections came into play during the reception, cocktail hour and the presentation backdrop. Entertaining Company's edible living garden food stations were set up with a variety of foods served and displayed in a way that was most appealing to the eye. The Avant Garden came to life in this space.

Isn't the food here displayed in such an absolutely gorgeous way?  We eat with our eyes, and the Entertaining Company nailed it. They were not afraid to veer from the usual for these scrumptious garden stations.  Expect the unexpected when the food is served in unique pieces. Artichoke salad and roasted beet salad in our vintage sorbet cups. Savory eclairs of lobster salad with avocado-dill cream, seared duck with cherry compote, grilled apricots, and arugula on our vintage pink and green cake stands. Savory madeleines of parmesan, chive and truffle and also feta and age on elegant floral tiered stands. Our vintage teacups served a mocktail over a huge ice ball, and guests' drinks were in our pink goblets. This event was truly a feast for the eyes. This event confirms Dish & Decor's philosophy that the details do matter, mismatched and layers add texture and interest, and presentation should always WOW your guests. 

Check out the backdrop bookcase behind the presenter, Kristi Drago-Price.  Our quirky unusual decor, including two aliens, filled the bookcase. Scattered about the garden reception, you will see our brass fairies, carousel horses and more. We collect things some may pass by, but our props and decor add whimsy.

Another great WIPA event! Magical, wouldn't you say? All of these friendors worked together for an absolutely fabulous event.
