The Wedding International Professional Association-Chicago (WIPA) Avant Garden May 2023 event’s caterers and planner utilized all of our serve ware rentals in such unexpected ways. We just loved their tables and the way they used our pieces to serve and display their food. We say that the food is a feast not only for the palate but also for the eyes. Coordinate the Colors
Many times, your caterer may have their own cake stands. We have found that our clients love to coordinate their glasses, dessert or salad plates with the color of the cake stands. This ties the event together and adds details to the photographs. Our cake stands are 13 inches or less diameter and are in a variety of heights and designs. These are perfect for smaller cakes and add a pop of color to your plain white cake. Couples have used more than one smaller cake in lieu of one large cake, and by adding varying heights this creates interest to your display.
Come to our Design Center, and we can lay out exactly what you envision. We can take a photo for you to show the staff or planner on your big day so that they can set it up exactly how we designed it.
And we have mastered the art of packing and delivering. Our cake stands have their own plastic boxes with lids. You take it out, use it, and put it back in its box. Easy. We wash the cake stand and the box.

Cakes as the Centerpiece…Functional and Edible
I attended a cousin’s tented outdoor wedding, and the mother of the bride placed a variety of cake stands on each round table for the centerpieces. Each cake stand had a different type of cake on it. The MOTB placed printed cards on each table that listed all the table numbers and the coordinating cake flavor along with a cake server set and a stack of dessert plates. This was such a clever way to have guests mingle after dinner. You could go to the table with the cake you love and cut yourself a slice. It was not only a fun “activity” for guests and a conversation starter. A beautiful display and an alternative to a dessert table and to a traditional floral table centerpiece.
