A Rental Testimonial...
Kelly decided to host a fall 40th anniversary party for 70 guests in a building on her property last September.  She spent all spring and summer collecting mismatched dinner plates, glasses plus she purchased linens. When it came down to the final details, she decided it was not worth her time or energy to collect anything else, but she still needed 70 wine glasses and 70 sets of flatware. She Googled glassware rentals and found Dish & Decor Vintage Rental in Crystal Lake, Illinois! (And later she became a part time employee! That's a story for another time.) Kelly rented the mismatched vintage clear etched wine glasses and vintage mismatched stainless-steel flatware from Dish & Decor. Her table settings were beautiful, and the day went without a hitch.

What she realized afterwards is...what in the world does she now do with the 70 dinner plates, 70 salad plates, 70 glasses, 70 napkins and huge tablecloths that she bought??? Everything needed to be washed by hand and stored. Egads!!! The tablecloths needed to be cleaned and pressed, which is time consuming and costly. Her original bright idea was she would sell them all online and make her money back.  LOL Well...that didn't happen. She literally ended up giving away the tablecloths and napkins after finding out what it costs to have the linens dry-cleaned and pressed. (She had already spent an ENTIRE day before the party pressing the wrinkled linens, so she was not doing that again.) Renting linens would have been very economical, but she just didn't know. And they are delivered pressed and ready to use.

To this day, she still has plates and glasses taking up space in her basement. They are listed on marketplace with no buyers. Her grand plan fizzled! In hindsight, she wished she had rented ALL of the table setting pieces.  Dish & Decor would have delivered it all. Picked it all up. And washed everything. Kelly, like most people, thought renting would be way too expensive. In all fairness, she didn't even realize there was such a rental business for tableware until her Google search. AND Dish & Decor Vintage Rental made it so simple, she just returned the wine glasses and flatware to be washed and sanitized by Dish & Decor. No hassles. No clean up. No washing. No stacks in the basement. Her next party will include renting from Dish & Decor Vintage Rental, for sure. Don't be Kelly!
