The 70's are 50 years ago!

     But it was such a good time for music, fashion and television. Since bell bottoms are coming back, we must have been cool, right? Throwing a 70's themed party has to include dress attire. Tie dye, Earth shoes, puka shell choker, mood ring, frayed jeans, hip huggers, bell bottoms, bright floral prints, embroidered clothes, head bands, and ponchos.
     Hang some beaded curtains, roll out a shag carpet and turn on the lava lamp. Hang a disco ball and flip on the strobe light. Put together a playlist of your favorite hits from the 70's and boogie down. Do the Hustle, the Funky Chicken and the Electric Slide.
     Serve popular 70's cocktails and appetizers. Singapore Slings, Tequila Sunrise, Tom Collins, cheese straws, and fondue come to my mind. Don't forget the cheese boards and cheese balls! For something sweet, how about a Jell-o poke cake or a Watergate salad?
